广东肇庆中学

广东肇庆中学是一所历史悠久、业绩辉煌的省重点中学，坐落在风景秀丽的国家级历史文化名城——肇庆端州。她的前身是创办于1573年的两广端溪书院，1905年改为肇庆府中学堂，素有“西江最高学府”之称。1949年11月起定名为广东肇庆中学，是全省十六所重点中学之一。以良好的校风、雄厚的师资、鲜明的特色、显著的效益而享誉岭南。1994年被评为首批省一级学校，1997年被确定为首批全国现代教育技术实验学校，2002年被定为“十五”期间教育部重大教育科研基地和共青团全国青少年科技活动示范单位，2004年被定为广东省新课程改革试验样本校。2007年10月，学校以优秀等级通过广东省普通高中教学水平评估，成为广东省首批国家级示范性普通高中。2008年至今先后被评为“广东省安全文明校园”、“广东省依法治校示范校”、“广东省书香校园”、“广东省中小学校本培训示范校”、“全国消防安全教育示范学校”、“广东省青少年科学教育特色学校”、“广东省创先争优‘南粤先锋’先进基层党组织”、“广东省德育示范学校”、“第五届和谐校园先进学校”。

办学百年来，学校为国家培养了四万多名人才。岭南画派大师黎雄才，电波传播专家焦培南，水利专家蔡瑶忠，地震专家黄玉昆，广东省副省长徐少华，亚运会银牌获得者梁月玲、蒙玉琼，国际信息学(计算机)奥赛银牌获得者魏小亮，2004年广东高考“双料状元”申栋材等是杰出代表。学校先后荣获全国“五讲四美、为人师表”活动先进单位、全国勤工俭学先进单位、全国群众体育先进集体、广东省文明单位、广东省实施《国家体育锻炼标准》先进单位、广东省优秀科技活动先进学校、“广东省职业道德建设‘百佳’单位”等荣誉称号。

学校现有两个校区：老校区为初中部，位于两广端溪书院原址，占地36亩，建筑面积约2.4万平方米;新校区设有高中部和新疆部，位于风景秀丽的仙女湖畔，占地247亩，建筑面积约10万平方米。新疆部于2007年至2009年秋季每年招收2个新疆预科班，从2010年秋季开始每年招收3个新疆预科班。2009年秋季高中部开始接收国际交流生。目前，全校共有99个班(其中初中36个班，高中60个班，新疆预科班3个)，在校学生5224人，其中新疆学生455人，台湾生1人、香港生8人，阿根廷生1人，高中部本地学生2715人，初中部学生2049人。

学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工468人。其中特级教师3人，高级教师145人，中级教师174人，硕士研究生114人，肇庆市专业技术拔尖人才3名，省市名师培养对象一批。近年来，有100多位教师获市级以上表彰奖励，100多位教师获省级以上教研成果。2009年9月，学校申报的“‘三自五修’特色育人实验研究”项目，被评为全国教育科学“十一五”规划2009年度教育部重点课题。
